On Nov 7, 2023; UMT (Dept. of Political Science and International Relations and Centre for Critical Peace Studies) signed an MOU with Bargad Organization for Youth Development. Bargad has a long and unique standing among civil society organizations in Pakistan that has been working exclusively on youth development since 1997. With UNFPA support, it has helped formulate the Punjab Youth Policy while it is providing similar assistance to the provincial governments of Sindh,
Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the State Government of AJK to develop their youth policies.
The MOU will offer UMT students unique opportunities to participate in wide ranging activities including youth development, climate change, community development , women empowerment and research funding opportunities. We look forward to working with Bargad for youth development in Pakistan.
